Kuo, Tuar-Shin.-Born in Wusih, Kiaugsn, 1888. Married, 1915. Studied at Commercial School, Shanghai, 1906-7; at the English Language School, Soochow, 1908-9; at Nanyang College, Shanghai, 1910. Arrived in America, September, 1910. Government support. Studied Agriculture at the University of Wisconsin, 1910-12; Natural Science at Chicage University, 1912; Agriculture at Cornell University, 1912-15. B.S., 1914; M.S., 1915. Elected to Sigma Xi, May, 1915. Treasurer, Cornell Chinese Students' Club, 1914. Manager, Chinese Students' Quarterly, 1913-14 and Chief Manager, 1914-15. Returned to China, June, 1915. President, First Kiangsu Provin-cial College of Agriculture and Forestry, Nanking, 1915 to date. Member, Kiangsu Educational Association and American Genetic Association.
