摘要:•Extraction curves of Ni(II) were shifted to left by increasing Versatic 10 acid.•Curves for Co(II) and Mn(II) were shifted to right by increasing Versatic 10 acid.•At pH5, the largest synergistic enhancement coefficient of Ni(II) (R = 16.49) was observed.•Selective extraction of Ni(II) is feasible with 3 stage extraction by McCabe–Thiele diagram.•LIX 84-I acts as the extractant and Versatic 10 acid plays the role of the synergist.
